How long can I keep a moving container?
Most companies offer monthly rentals with no strict limit. The container can stay on your property or at their storage facility as long as you need. After the initial rental period, standard monthly storage fees apply.
Can a moving container fit in my driveway?
Standard sizes (7, 12, and 16 feet) fit most driveways. Street placement is restricted or prohibited in many cities. Confirm placement rules with the company and your local municipality before booking.
Are moving containers weather-proof?
Most are steel-framed with weather-resistant walls but are not climate-controlled. For electronics, artwork, or wood furniture in extreme temperatures, ask about climate-controlled storage facilities.
Can I load a container myself or do I need a crew?
You can pack and load entirely yourself — one of the main cost advantages of containers. Most companies also offer optional loading help for an additional fee if you want assistance.
What size container do I need?
A 7-foot container fits approximately a studio apartment. A 12-foot fits one to two bedrooms. A 16-foot fits two to three bedrooms. Multiple containers can be ordered for larger homes.
How is the container transported to my destination?
