We collect Personal Information directly from you that you voluntarily share with us through the Services, indirectly from you through technology (e.g., your activity on the Services), and from United Safe Van Lines service providers, moving professionals, and business partners.

Our Services use cookies: (1) where necessary to run our Services, (2) to optimize functionality, including personalizing content and remembering preferences, (3) for analytics to understand how our Services are used, (4) to deliver relevant advertisements. b. Web Beacons
We may include web beacons (pixel tags, web bugs, or clear GIFs) on our Services and in messages to track user movements, manage content, and monitor email open rates.
c. Session Monitoring
We and our service providers monitor and analyze how visitors use our Services to understand user behavior and improve our Services.
d. Your ‘Do Not Track’ Browser Setting
We do not support the Do Not Track (DNT) browser setting. We track online activities over time and across third-party websites using web beacons and third-party ad providers.
e. Social Networking Sites
If you log in through a social networking site (e.g., Facebook), we may collect your authentication token and account ID to provide access to your account on the Services.
INFORMATION FROM OR ABOUT OTHER PARTIES
a. Information You Provide About An External Party
Referrals: If you use our referral service, we may collect your friend’s name and email address to send a one-time email inviting them to visit our Services. We store this information only to send the email and track the referral program’s success.
Ratings: Profiles of moving professionals may include their name, ratings, and reviews provided by customers, visible to all users and on booking partners’ websites. If you provide a rating or review, we may post your first name, last name initial, and neighborhood name alongside it.
b. Information External Parties Provide About You
We may supplement information collected through the Services with records from third parties to enhance our ability to serve you and tailor content.
c. Information You Provide to a Third-Party / Third-Party Sites
Our Services include links to Third-Party Sites and plug-ins (e.g., Twitter buttons). We are not responsible for their information collection practices, which are governed by their privacy policies. Booking partners may share booking information (e.g., name, phone number) with us.
COMMUNICATIONS
a. Message Interception
If you call or text a moving professional or customer using the telephone number provided by United Safe Van Lines, we use our service provider, Twilio, to mask your number. United Safe Van Lines and Twilio receive and store call data, including date, time, phone numbers, and text message content. In-app messages are processed by our provider, Sendbird, which stores message data.
b. SMS Text Messaging Disclosure
By using the Services, you consent to receive communications, including text messages, calls, and push notifications, to the phone number provided. Standard carrier charges apply. You may receive operational and marketing communications, including prerecorded messages. You may opt out of promotional texts by replying “STOP” or contacting us, though opting out of all texts may impact Service use.
c. Communication Monitoring
We create anonymous email addresses and phone numbers to facilitate and protect communications between moving professionals and customers. By using our Services, you agree that United Safe Van Lines can access, monitor, and analyze these communications to ensure quality, safety, and generate performance reports.
INFORMATION RETENTION
We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as authorized by law, including to manage operations, fulfill legal obligations, or protect our rights. Communication data is retained to generate performance reports and ensure compliance.
TARGETED ADVERTISING, SALES, AND SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We share Identifiers, Personal Records, Internet Activity, Geolocation Data, and Inferences for targeted advertising, which may be considered “sales” or “sharing” under U.S. state privacy laws. These are shared with third-party advertisers and analytics vendors for relevant ads and analytics. We do not share text messaging opt-in data for third-party marketing. To opt out, see below.
UNITED STATES PRIVACY RIGHTS
To exercise your rights, submit a request to [email protected] with your registered email address. Requests are subject to identity and residency verification.
a. California Privacy Rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know, correct, delete, opt out of sales/sharing, limit sensitive data use, and avoid discrimination. Opt out via the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the Site footer or use a Global Privacy Control signal. We offer financial incentives (e.g., discounts) for providing Personal Information, with terms provided at sign-up. Contact us to withdraw from such programs.
California Shine the Light: Request details about personal information shared with third parties for their direct marketing by emailing us with “California Shine the Light Request” in the subject line.
b. Other State Privacy Rights
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut have rights to access, correct, delete, opt out of targeted advertising/sales/profiling, and appeal decisions. Opt out of targeted advertising via the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.
c. Nevada Privacy Rights
We do not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law.
SWEEPSTAKES, CONTESTS, AND PROMOTIONS
Promotions may require Personal Information to register. By participating, you agree to the official rules, which may allow sponsors to use your name or likeness in marketing.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Our Services are directed to individuals 16 and older. We do not collect information from anyone under 16.
INTERNATIONAL VISITORS
Our Services are based in the United States. Information may be transferred to or processed in the U.S. or other countries with different data protection laws.
SECURITY
We use industry-standard measures to protect Personal Information, including anonymous communication channels, but no method is 100% secure.
YOUR CHOICES
